Wicked Play.

Walking down streets
Lost in paths familiar
I spend time remembering
Images peculiar
Where figures dance
Tempting with a trance
Laughing and calling an often rehearsed line

You can trust
that I won't lie
Give to me your heart
to keep besides mine

Walking past derelict places
Abandoned stages of past plays incomplete
Around the block, in any direction
Failing to calmly reminisce
Our wicked play's terrible time
After that often rehearsed line

You can trust
That I won't lie
Give to me your heart
to keep besides mine

Walking down streets
Every step crushes underneath
Brittle bits once a dream
The sound echoing endlessly
As your figure dances before me
Teasing sensually with pursed lips
Hiding cruel tricks

You can trust
that I won't lie
Give to me your heart
to keep besides mine
